Snowshovels are happiest right now, because they are doing what they are intended to do. Believe it or not, I learned this at church last Saturday. I had the privilege of worshiping with a friend at Bethel Church in Crown Point, and heard Pastor Steve DeWitt’s sermon, A Theology for Everything. Steve asks, “Why are we here?” Good question. The sermon (and answer!) is from I Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Well, that about says it! We were made to worship God and give glory to Him.
“Father, I pray that we will glorify you every day in everything we do. We were made for you, and made to love you. My heart just isn’t right unless I am living for you. I can only be satisfied when I am doing what you made me to do. I pray that we as a church would never cease to bring glory to your name.”
