Echo Prayer Manager

What a neat idea! I found this link on Suncrest’s “Cultivating” blog, and have set it up for prayer reminders every day. You can leave any sort of note for yourself, either a reminder to pray, or a prayer itself. I have set it up to send me a reminder each morning, to pray for each of my kids one day at a time, Monday through Thursday, and for the church on Friday. I try to remember to pray as things come to mind, but this way I have an email reminder. I need all the help I can get! What a cool idea! The Echo Prayer Manager is just another way to remind us to pray for things and people who are important to us. If you try it, I hope you’ll let us know what you think.

That’s awesome! Which day did i get? :-)

You and Jonathan get Monday, cuz you’re the oldest :+) Of course I’ve prayed often for you anyway, but sure like the idea of email prompts!

I heard about a pastor who challenged the people in their church to have their watches go off every 60 seconds with a beep. It sounds super annoying, and a lot of people had a hard time with it at first. The idea was so that every time the clock would beep it would remind them to practice God’s presence in their lives. I don’t remember what book I was reading when I heard about this, but I guess it had a tremendous impact on their church. People became more loving and patient in their relationships, and a lot of people grew through this experience.

We all need little daily reminders. Sticky notes, e-mails, phone alerts, or anything else like that is helpful. I often WANT to pray, but I sometimes I honestly just don’t think about it. Reminders are good! Thanks Momma for your blog reminders!
