New Beginnings

I don’t know why, but when graduate photos are shown in church this time of year I always get a little teary-eyed. Usually I know some of the graduates; maybe I taught them in kids ministry or know the family and have seen the kids grow. Other times it’s because I know the story behind the photo.  In any case, there is always growth involved, as well as changes, and the potential for even more. “Lord, we pray for those who are graduating. We pray for jobs for those who need them, but more importantly, for them to find a place in your kingdom. We pray that they will stay faithful to you and serve you all their lives. Lord, if there is anything we can do to encourage their faith, help us to know what that is.  And we pray for encouragement for them. Keep them close to you.”
