Only the Beginning

All my kids were together last night. I love those times, knowing those moments come farther between than they used to. When Laure was in college, she became good friends with a guy I really liked.  I suggested Jonathan would make a great son-in-law, but no, they were “just friends.” I can’t claim my prayers were solely responsible, but Laure and Jonathan have now been married for a few years, and he is a great husband to her.  I love his family, and am thankful for their part in her life, too. “Lord, we try to take care of our kids and raise them well. Don’t let us forget to ask  for a great future for them. For good spouses who will encourage their walk with you, and not distract them from you. I pray for the kids who are now dating, that they would remain pure physically, emotionally and mentally. We pray for faithfulness. Give us wisdom to guide them well, and to rely on you more as the years go by.”
