Things to Pray for Your Church

Beyond the “bless our church” prayer, have you ever thought to pray these things for your church? Here’s a random list that I thought of over time…

1. protect our reputation 2. integrity 3. solid leadership by the elders 4. wise decision making 5. that the Christ-followers would grow and remain close to God 6. a welcoming spirit toward visitors 7. good coffee ( thanks, Doug, for this one!), 8. good accounting 9. peace and good will between staff members (only human!) 10.  good first impressions 11. wise use of money 12. pray that hard feelings would keep to themselves, and that gossip and divisive talk would be like fires put out 13. a generous spirit 14. Christ-like dealings with the community when doing business 15. creative ways to reach out to the community 16. open hearts and minds on Sunday morning, and whenever else the word of God is shared 17.that our pastors would be consistent in their personal time with God. 18. that we would all have time with God 19. good marriages 20. ???
