Selling Christmas

This Christmas season I am thankful to only be working one job. For the last few years, I worked at Home Depot as well as at Family Christian Store, up to 65 hours a week at one point. Whew! I was so busy selling Christmas to others that I really had a hard time concentrating on what Christmas was all about. I have let go of some things, like sending out cards and baking cookies, but the time restraints are still there. “Lord, I pray that we will focus on you this time of year, especially as the 25th gets closer. I pray for peace in our families, peace in our hearts, and the recognition that it’s all about you. What do you really want for Christmas, Lord? Me? I pray for me to be able to give myself wholly to you.”
